Welcome Military Affiliated Students at ULM!

The ULM Office of Veterans Affairs Works closely with military affiliated students (students) who want to use their military educational benefits available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at ULM. Military affiliated students are students who are active duty, veterans, or the dependents of veterans.

The School Certifying Official (SCO) certifies the military affiliated students’ enrollment at ULM each semester with the VA.

GI Bill® Benefits Chapters include: Chapter 30 – Montgomery GI Bill®-AD for active duty or prior active duty, Chapter 31 – Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E), Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI Bill®, Chapter 35 - Dependent Education Assistance Program (DEA) and Chapter 1606 – Montgomery GI Bill® Selective Reserve.

The State of Louisiana has educational benefit programs for Louisiana National Guard and veterans living in the state of Louisiana: the Louisiana National Guard State Tuition Exemption Program (STEP), the Louisiana Patriot Scholarship (for Louisiana National Guard) and the Title 29 – Louisiana State Dependent Exemption.

Email us at vetaffairs@ulm.edu with any questions or call the SCO listed in the contact information.
