MONROE, La.听鈥撎�Due to continued听power outages and ongoing weather-related uncertainties, the University of Louisiana Monroe will听remain closed through Tuesday, February 3.听听听

University officials will continue to听monitor听conditions and work closely with local utility providers and emergency officials. A full assessment of the potential damage to campus resources must also be made once power is fully restored.听听At this time, the University听anticipates听reopening on Wednesday, February 4; however, a final determination will be made听at a later date听and communicated through official channels.听

As communicated previously, no assignments, exams, or projects will be due during the closure.听

Faculty and staff should work with their immediate supervisors as to whether they need to report to campus.听

The听ULM Activity Center听will remain open 24 hours a day听during the closure to provide warm shelter, restrooms, and charging capabilities for students听remaining听on campus. Residence halls听remain听open for students currently on campus.听

Schulze Cafeteria听will continue to be fully operational, providing meals听daily from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.听听

Icy conditions and weather impacts may continue to make travel hazardous.听ULM students, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to听avoid travel unless absolutely necessary听and to exercise extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.听Please visit听511la.org听for current road conditions and travel advisories before planning travel.听

ULM will continue to provide updates through the听ULM Safe app, campus-wide email,听ulm.edu, and official ULM social media channels. Stay informed through 90.3 KEDM and the National Weather Service Shreveport.听
