MONROE, La. 鈥 The ULM Science Fair Committee is hosting a STEM Night on October 23, 2025, in the ULM Museum of Natural History, located on the first floor of Hanna Hall at 708 University Ave., from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. While the event is geared towards grades 6-12, STEM Night is family-friendly and welcomes younger siblings and curious minds of all ages. 听
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The STEM Night
will feature information on science programs at ULM, fun games, and interesting demonstrations
involving math and science.听听
The event will also introduce students to the process of conducting a scientific project and provide valuable resources for those interested in participating in the Region III Science and Engineering Fair in Spring 2026. 听
"STEM Night aims to encourage local students in grades 6-12 to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through games and hands-on demonstrations offered by various ULM science programs. It鈥檚 a fun and educational opportunity to connect with ULM faculty and students, learn about STEM pathways, and spark curiosity in future careers,鈥 said Dr. Jane Ji, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and one of the organizers of STEM Night.听听
