MONROE, La. 鈥� The famous Australian rapper, Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known by her stage name, Iggy Azalea, will perform at the University of Louisiana Monroe's Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Thursday, October 13 at 8 p.m.

Iggy鈥檚 performance was secured by ULM鈥檚 Campus Activities Board, which organized the concert as a part of ULM's Homecoming week.听

In 2006, as a 16 year-old, Iggy left Australia and flew to the United States to pursue her dream.

Her professional career started in 2011 with the release of her first full-length mix-tape project titled 鈥淚gnorant Art.鈥� In 2014, she released her debut album, 鈥淭he New Classic,鈥� which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales topping 52,000 across the United States.

Iggy has collaborated with many well-known artists throughout her career. The most notable ones include Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

She was the first woman and the first non-American rapper to be featured in XXL Magazine鈥檚 鈥淭op 10 Freshman List鈥� in 2012.

Iggy鈥檚 most notable songs include 鈥淔ancy,鈥� 鈥淏lack Widow,鈥� 鈥淲ork鈥� and 鈥淭eam.鈥�

Early bird ticket prices are as follows:

Tickets for ULM students cost $20 for general admission, and $25 for floor seats. Tickets for the general public cost $30 for general admission, and $35 for floor seats.

Ticket prices will increase by $5 on September 29, and remain the same until the beginning of the concert.听
